Fireworks Are Back!
Isn’t it nice to settle back in to those holiday traditions again? After a year
off, our fireworks show at dusk on July 4 is sure to be a loud summer
statement. All you resort and casino guests, bring your lawn chairs or blankets
and enjoy the show. And
don’t miss more family-friendly fun for the holiday weekend, including a
new Watermelon Smash and cornhole tournament.
More Space to Splash
With the temps rising, that poolside territory is always precious real estate. Our new pool and expanded deck space at French Lick Springs Hotel makes it a little easier to savor your time in the sun. With the new zero-entry pool, there are now two outdoor pools to enjoy. (Plus the adjacent indoor pool when Mother Nature is in a stormy mood.)
And While You’re at the Pool…
Grab a bite to eat at The Canteen, or a poolside cocktail or beer from The Watering Hole. We have two new food-truck-inspired food and beverage outlets to make poolside refueling and refreshment a little easier. The Canteen features everything from burgers and dogs to breaded tenderloins, pork BBQ, nachos, loaded fries and ice cream.
Treat Yourself to a Spirited Event

culinary events be your guide. Pick your favorite and add a little flavor to
your stay:

August 14, September 11/12)
Craft Beer Tasting (July

Go Ahead, “Lollygag” For a Bit
New name, same summertime vibes. The French Lick
Lollygaggers (formerly the Dixieland Band) play their old favorites and new
tunes every Friday and Saturday from 6-9 p.m. outside French Lick Springs
Hotel. Claim a rocking chair on the veranda, a drink from the lobby bar or some
ice cream, and savor a quintessential French Lick summer tradition.
Twilight Tours
Even if you’ve taken a tour of West Baden Springs Hotel
before, you probably haven’t toured it quite like this. Join one of these Saturday evening
tours told by costumed characters from the hotel’s early era. Don’t worry,
these tours end well before the hotel’s universal 10 p.m. bedtime during its
heyday.
Play 18 (or 36)
If your summer is all about AMGAP — as much golf as possible
— this is the place to satisfy that mission. Did you know same-day replays are
free at our Pete Dye Course, and $50 at our Donald Ross Course? Grab a tee time
early in the day, then take advantage of a free/reduced second 18 holes. And
speaking of free, youth 12 and younger can play our resort courses for free
(with a paying adult) and juniors age 13-18 play for half price.
Take Your Best Shot
Our sporting clays range is now open daily.
Whether you’re a sure shot with your 20-gauge or have never even shot a gun
before, it’s a perfect outdoor adventure no matter your skill level.
Murder Mystery Weekend
Sadly, the pandemic killed it off. But only temporarily.
Murder
Mystery Weekend has come back to life, and one of our most popular resort
events is back on the calendar for the weekend of August 6-8 at West Baden
Springs Hotel. Before summer is over, treat yourself to a three-day interactive
murder mystery. Add this mystery adventure to West Baden’s Old World setting,
and it’s like a mystery novel come to life.
Vintage Base Ball — Join the Game!
For the adventurous baseball enthusiasts/history buffs out
there: this one’s right up your alley. Try out to participate in the old-time
Vintage Base Ball Exhibitions showcasing the rules, style and lingo of the
1800s. The tryouts are 4-6 p.m. Friday, September 10 with the vintage games to
follow Saturday and Sunday. For more info on this throwback adventure, call
(812) 936-5579.
Pet-Friendly French Lick Resort has always been a great place to bring your dog. Now, they’ve got a little more room to roam during their stay. Find the new Lucy’s Bark Park in the back lawn of West Baden Springs Hotel beyond the outdoor pool, and let your pooch run free for a bit.
