But you know one place at French Lick Resort that has still
been humming along at its usual steady pace? The Call Center.
They’ve been fielding calls left and right: What’s open
at the resort? When will it open? What precautions have been taken and what
changes will I see?
In fact, the volume of calls coming into our Call Center isn’t too far off pace of what it would be at a normal time. To us, that’s wonderful news. It shows people are thinking about travel and adventure again. And when you’re ready to visit French Lick Resort again, we’ll be here to welcome you. (Just know that we have smiles on underneath the masks.)
Have questions about anything? Give our Call Center a buzz at (888) 936-9360. And in case you’re wondering some of the same things, here’s a list of 8 popular questions that our Call Center has been fielding lately:
Are you open?
As of a few weeks ago, yes, we are open! We are reopening in
stages, and at the moment, West Baden Springs Hotel is the only hotel open and
with limited occupancy. Other resort amenities have also begun reopening,
including The Stables, which are reopening today (Friday, June 5), and The Spa
at West Baden is slated for a June 15 reopening.
The list is constantly changing and evolving, and you can
see the latest resort updates here.
Is the casino open?
UPDATE: 6/9/20: Good news — we now have a reopen date! French Lick Casino will be reopening Monday, June 15, at 6 a.m. We will be sharing more details about the reopening in the days to come, so you will know what to expect during your first visit back.
Far and away this has been the No. 1 question we’re been getting, so we're thrilled to be opening the casino doors once again.
When is French Lick Springs Hotel reopening?
Good news — our current plan is to reopen French Lick
Springs Hotel on July 1, and we are already accepting reservations. Even better
news — there’s a chance it could open a little earlier than that. Stay tuned!
What are the dining options at the resort, and nearby?
Three restaurants at the resort have begun operating on a
limited basis: Ballard’s in the Atrium (open exclusively to West Baden Springs
Hotel guests), The Mansion at Pete Dye (serving golfers only), and Hagen’s Club
House Restaurant (open to all for carry-out and limited dine-in, Friday through
Monday).
A silver lining: You can now eat breakfast under the dome of
the West Baden atrium with these changes to our usual schedules and venues.
Seeing the early-morning sun peer into the dome is an experienced to be
savored. Even better with a hearty omelet and a free cup of coffee.
Also, most of the eating establishments in the surrounding
community have opened as well. Our Call Center staff checks in with each
restaurant weekly to find out their latest changes and updates, so they’ll have
the most up-to-date info you need about other restaurants in French Lick and West
Baden Springs.
Can I make tee times?
Absolutely. All three of our golf courses are open from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Just call (888) 936-9360 to make a tee time at any one of
them.
The golf shops are operating at 50 percent capacity, and be
aware that the Pete Dye golf shop has temporarily been moved to the more
spacious quarters in the Pete Dye Pavilion. We ask that masks be worn inside.
But out on the course in open air, mask-free is just fine.
Also, this is the ideal time to treat dad (and yourself) to
a round on one of Indiana’s premier courses. For Father’s Day on June 21, take
advantage of our “This Round’s on Me” promotion, where dad plays for just $1
with a full paid round on The Donald Ross Course at French Lick.
What’s happening over Fourth of July weekend?
A tentative lineup:
• Live music nightly at West Baden Springs Hotel (July 3-5)
• Ladies for Liberty patriotic performances at French Lick Springs Hotel (July 3 at 7 p.m.; July 4 at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.; and July 5 at 9 a.m.)
• Poolside afternoon cookouts at West Baden Springs Hotel
(July 4 & 5)
Plus, you can put a checkmark by some of the 25 things to do at the resort
with social distancing in mind. Unfortunately the fireworks show will not go
off this year, but there’s still plenty to do across the resort — even if it’s
just sitting in a rocker savoring an Indiana summertime evening.
I have a gift certificate that’s expiring — what do I do?
Not to be confused with our resort gift cards, which never
expire. But if you have a resort-issued gift certificate for an overnight stay
or amenity and it recently expired or is about to expire — don’t worry. We’re understanding,
and we are extending all gift certificates. Simply give us a call, and we’ll
work things out with you individually.
We have also relaxed our cancellation policy, understanding
that your travel plans might still be in a state of flux. Should you need to
make changes to your reservation, just give us a ring and we can offer flexible
solutions.
Can I come stay in my RV?
We have not yet opened the RV lot, since the usual RV
check-in is at French Lick Springs Hotel which is currently closed. RV accessibility
should be back soon, when French Lick Springs Hotel reopens.
