You’ve heard about it. You’ve been anticipating it. And it’s
arriving at French Lick Casino in just a few days.
Sports betting will finally be open on the casino floor later this week, and
here’s 7 answers to questions you might have about the newest way to play at
French Lick.
When can I bet?
This Friday, September 6, is the first day to lay those
wagers down. (Just in time for the first weekend of the NFL regular season.)
The sportsbook will take its first bets at 10 a.m. that day.
What sports are in
play?
You can place bets on nearly 20 different sports, college to
pro, and dozens of different leagues. Wager on everything from the biggies (NFL,
MLB, NBA, golf, soccer) to others like bowling, cricket, darts and sailing. Find
the complete list here.
Look for a new, dedicated sportsbook area near the south end
of the casino between the bar and Player Services areas. It’ll be easy to spot:
you’ll see new sportsbook signage overhead on the screens behind the counter.
Sometimes the sportsbook is confined to a small area and difficult to find, but
French Lick Casino’s sportsbook will be a focal point.
Where can I place my
bet?
There’s two different ways to make those bets official at
the sportsbook: Up to three betting windows will be open to take wagers, or you
can do it yourself at eight different self-service kiosks. The kiosks can be
accessed 24 hours a day, while regular window hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
daily (with the exception of the 10 a.m. opening on September 6).

What other changes
will I see?
With the arrival of sports betting, the adjacent casino
lounge and bar area are getting a facelift, too.
The casino bar/lounge area is now filled with 18 TVs and a
pair of 16-foot LED walls with picture-in-picture displays, so you’ll always
be able to keep an eye on the game you’re interested in. When you step foot in
this viewing area, you’ll have a 180-degree view of TVs from wall to wall, so
you’ll always be plugged in and able to follow all the action.
Also in the lounge, expect to see new individualized club
seats each with their own charging station and a flat surface to fill out
betting cards and track wagers. The seats also recline a little bit, for a
comfortable little slice of home while you play.
What additional info/resources
are available?
Printed sheets of daily odds will be on hand, along with
several TV screens with those odds scrolling all day. The house rules will be
posted, and you can also pick up a sports betting brochure to brush up on some
of the terminology and basics. More questions about placing a bet? One of our
representatives at the sportsbook window will be happy to assist.
Can I bet via mobile
device?
Down the road, that will be an option. French Lick Casino, in
association with Rush Street Interactive, plans to launch an online sportsbook
in Indiana later this year (subject to Indiana Gaming Commission approval).
Once you’ve played, let us know what you think! This is a
first for sports betting at French Lick and a whole new ballgame for everyone,
so we welcome your feedback about what you like and what you would improve.
Just come find one of our casino associates, and we’re always ready to lend an
ear.
Sports betting subject to final approval from Indiana Gaming
