Foodie Friday: Signature Drinks at French Lick Resort

Last week, we took a poll on our Instagram story asking if you'd like to see a Foodie Friday dedicated to either signature drinks or signature dishes at French Lick Resort. By ONE vote, we're featuring some of French Lick Resort's most popular drinks in this edition of our Foodie Friday blog!

Our signature drinks range from one of our fine dining restaurants to our poolside deli and even our Mercantile. Let's sip our way through the 7 most popular drinks and cocktails at French Lick Resort!

1. French Lick Manhattan
This award-winning drink is an 1875: The Steakhouse classic. The rim is lined with candied almonds (which you can purchase at The French Lick Mercantile) and has French Lick Resort's signature blend Woodford Reserve bourbon in it. Disaronno (an Italian almond liqueur) and house-made simple syrup make this bright red cocktail. Last year, we featured this drink with Mixologist Tomi Parker, and you can watch it here.
2. Spring No. 8 Deli's Passion Punch
This bucket-held cocktail is your ticket to poolside relaxation. Parrot Bay passion fruit rum, amaretto, Sprite and pineapple juice are just the thing to tantalize your taste buds when you're searching for a perfect summertime sip.
3. Hagen's Club House Bloody Mary
Did you know tomato juice was invented at French Lick Springs Hotel in 1917? All the more reason to enjoy a satisfying bloody mary with a view of The Donald Ross Course at French Lick at Hagen's Club House Restaurant.
4. Power Plant Bar & Grill's "Lucky Charm"
This signature cocktail can be enjoyed at other restaurants around French Lick Resort (including Spring No. 8 Deli and Hagen's) but only at the Power Plant Bar & Grill can you enjoy it with the view of the large electrical switchboard that once powered French Lick Springs Hotel. Cruzan coconut rum, blue curacao and peach schnapps with pineapple and orange juice make this festive drink Instagram-worthy.

5. Afternoon Tea at West Baden Springs Hotel
Pinkies up! A classic West Baden Springs Hotel weekly event is Afternoon Tea is the atrium. Sip and snack your way through a proper Afternoon Tea from a selection of gourmet tea options and finger sandwiches, scones and petit fours. Along with the sounds of live harp, cello or flute music to accompany this experience, it's the perfect way to soak in the ambiance of West Baden Springs Hotel.
6. French Lick Mercantile's "Mr. Cook Shake"
Named after the man who led the Cook Group's purchase and restoration of both the French Lick Springs and West Baden Springs Hotels, Bill Cook used to work in an ice cream shop in Canton, Ill. (which he later renovated) and he put his own spin on shakes by making them extra thick. He brought the tradition to French Lick Resort and you can enjoy one yourself (either vanilla, chocolate or a mixture of the two) at the French Lick Mercantile!
7. The Grand Colonnade Restaurant's Signature Smoothies
Smoothies are the newest addition to The Grand Colonnade's breakfast buffet menu (available at Sunday Brunch as well). Choose from Berry-Go-Round, French Lick-olada, The Greenberry and The Banana Cantaberry for a healthy kick-start to fuel your day.
