Foodie Friday: Food Truck Alley

With flavors bursting from regional food trucks, French Lick Resort's Food Truck Alley events are rolling into the resort more often this year with a variety of flavors on wheels to fit every palate. Every Food Truck Alley offers a different lineup of food trucks during the scheduled weekends (the following photos are from past events). This event is complimentary for hotel and leisure guests complete with a Kid Zone with face painting, games and music. Guests will also have a chance to enter to win an overnight stay (winner will be drawn at each individual weekend).

Bring your friends and family and mark your calendars for next Saturday, June 30, to officially kick off the Fourth of July Week festivities at Food Truck Alley. All Food Truck Alley events take place at our Event Center Plaza, just off of the parking garage at French Lick Springs Hotel. This event is always rain or shine as the plaza is completely covered. Here's our lineup for the rest of the year:

Friday, July 6 & Saturday, July 7 • 11am - 7pm (The Big Cheeze, La Poblana Taco Truck (Saturday only), Hoosier Mama's Tasty Treats LLC, 812BBQ, The Celtic Pig, Tiki Kabob, Miller's Barbecue (delayed due to truck issues), The Fry Guy and Toby's Doghouse)
Saturday, September 1 & Sunday, September 2 • 11am - 7pm • International Flavors
Saturday, October 13 • 11am - 7pm • Fall Flavors

Where do you even begin when you're presented with an eclectic variety of food trucks? We recommend grazing your way through as many as you'd like, sampling their individual flavors to your heart's content. Flavors can range from BBQ, Greek, Mexican, classic fried foods and so much more. Each menu varies, but it's always fun to try the food truck's signature dish(es) to get the ultimate experience. Pictured from top left to bottom right are: The Celtic Pig's Brisket Sandwich, The Fry Guy's Fried Green Beans, 812BBQ's BBQ chicken nachos, La Poblana's Torta Sandwich (a Mexican street food bursting with classic taco flavors, similar to a flatbread sandwich) and the Grecian Mama's Grilled Chicken Gyro.
Local food truck Toby's Doghouse offers classic hot dogs, bratwursts and nachos.
Tiki Kabob offers marinated pork on a stick and lemon shake-ups (available in several different flavors).
Debuting at our last Food Truck Alley was Gypsy Moon Nosh Wagon. Their menu ranges from porchetta wraps to rice bowls to salmon quesadillas. Catch them again at the July 6 & 7 Food Truck Alley.
Where can you get a massive tenderloin sandwich? The Fry Guy! They serve up all of your deep-fried favorites like mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken fingers and other surprising creations including green beans and pickles.
Walk and taste your way around the Event Center Plaza during Food Truck Alley next weekend during our Fourth of July Week festivities and use #frenchlickresort on your photos!
