French Lick Casino’s team of casino hosts are in the
business of building bonds with their casino guests, and the proof is in their career
timelines. As we feature three casino hosts today and introduce more of the
team in coming weeks, you’ll notice a theme — practically all the hosts have held
other positions in the casino business or been in different careers altogether,
but the powerful pull of getting to know their players and the satisfaction of
helping create memorable experiences explains why they’ve loving life now as
casino hosts.

Linda McIntosh
Linda has worked in the
hospitality industry almost as long as she can remember. Her journey began as a
16-year-old working in the glass shop at Santa Claus Land (now known as Holiday
World), and there she discovered her passion. Falling in love with the
field of hospitality, Linda continued her path working in management at a truck
stop for almost 30 years until it closed in 2005. Looking for something
different, she discovered French Lick Casino and wanted to be a part of
fulfilling Bill Cook’s dream of reviving a world-class resort. Linda
started as a supervisor in Player Services and became a casino host almost
eight years ago. Linda has cherished her opportunity to build
relationships and create lasting friendships, and she considers French Lick
Resort more than a place of employment — it’s her family.

Krista joined French Lick’s team of casino hosts in 2010 after working nine years in the office furniture industry and four years as a call center agent at French Lick Resort. She obtained her Associate of Science degree in medical administration from Vincennes University in 1998. Krista derives pride from ensuring her guests have a memorable experience every time they visit French Lick. Outside of work, you’ll find Krista spending time with her family and traveling.
