If you’re spending Valentine’s Day with us today at French
Lick Resort, then you’ve come to the right place — Historic Hotels of America
recently picked West Baden Springs Hotel as Indiana’s best hotel for a romantic
winter getaway.
If you didn’t make it here today, no worries. Valentine’s
Day can travel, after all.
Love being one of the most ubiquitous and substantial
emotions of all, why place it in a tiny box for a single day’s worth of special
treatment? Show Valentine’s a little more love and make it an occasion you can
tailor to any day of the year. This is the sort of place where the Valentine’s
vibe never goes out of season, so any day is a good day to make a romantic
getaway happen.
If our Valentine’s Day package (and the superlative-worthy
speciality red velvet lava cake at Sinclair’s Restaurant) passed you by, French
Lick Resort still has an assortment of hotel packages offered year-round that
are plenty capable of fitting the romantic bill for you and your special
someone. See what suits you and your sweetheart:
Get cozy — this package is fit for comfort and starts with
two plush robes. Champagne for two. Nibble on chocolates delivered right to
your room. A spa credit to use toward a couple’s massage or any other decadent
spa treatment you have in mind.
It starts with a long-stemmed rose, and the special touches
keep on coming. Select a bottle of wine from one six classic varietals. We’ll
also have a welcome gift to surprise you, and credits for breakfast and dinner
are also included and can be used anywhere throughout the resort as you explore
it.
Includes a bottle of our house sparkling wine.
A delayed Valentine’s Day can have its perks, too. February
and the worst of winter will (hopefully) be in the rearview mirror when March
arrives in two short weeks — and that opens up all sorts of outdoor
possibilities across the resort.
Regular hours for horse-drawn carriage rides resume in
March. (They can still be arranged the next few weeks for special occasions by
calling 812-936-9300.) Spring tends to arrive a little earlier here, too, and a
couple’s stroll on the Ferguson Trail is a must-do when the post-winter thaw arrives. In particular, the segment of the trail between West Baden and French Lick Springs Hotels is an easy walk (1 mile) with views of the resort as well as the hilly, wooded and soon-to-be-budding landscape in the backdrop.
