Top 5 Father's Day Festivities at French Lick Resort

Father’s Day is right around the corner and French Lick Resort is packed with activities that both Dads and children of all ages will love. We’ve picked the top 5 Father’s Day activities at French Lick Resort (besides the ever-popular golf offerings, of course). There are countless ways to make memories with the dad in your life at the resort.

1.  FootGolf
Played with a regular soccer ball and 21 inch-wide hole, FootGolf is a new take on an old classic at the Valley Links course. The game is designed to allow anyone to be able to play regardless of skill level or age. If you haven’t tried Foot Golf before, it might be time to make some new Father’s Day traditions and get a “kick” out of this game!

2.  Biking

Whether it's mountain biking around Mt. Arie or just cruising around in a bicycle surrey cart with the family, biking around French Lick is a fantastic way to spend Father’s Day and explore the resort. Surrey carts make for a wonderful afternoon of easy riding around the property and pair great with a picnic lunch,

or ride over to West Baden Springs Hotel for an early dinner. If the adventurous man in your family wants to get out on the trails, Buffalo Trace Trail is 8+ miles of easy tread and low grade which make it comfortable for any level of rider.

3.  Bourbon Tasting
French Lick Resort serves specialty-selected Woodford Reserve Bourbon at many restaurants around the property. Crafted in small batches, a tasting of this award winning bourbon is a great way for Dad to kick back and relax, either with the older kids or soaking in some time to himself. Pair the drink with dinner at the French Lick Springs Hotel’s signature dining venue, 1875: The Steakhouse for a memorable family evening.

4.  Historical Tour
For the history-loving Father, he'll enjoy spending an afternoon wandering and learning about the very beginnings of the hotels up to now. Indiana Landmarks offers tours at both hotels detailing their architecture and revival, famous stories and how they came to be throughout their storied past. After the hour long tour, ice cream on one of the verandas is a delicious way to cap off the afternoon.

5.  Spa Time
Dads like to be pampered too! Whether it’s a relaxing massage or a much needed pedicure (no nail polish!), a spa treatment at French Lick or West Baden Springs Hotels can be a great way to help Dad relax and enjoy his time with the family. Or, it could be a great getaway from them – we won’t tell! Consider treating him to one of the tranquil and indulgent experiences available at either spa, and know you’ve made one man in your life extremely happy.
